The Tennessee Titans opened up their 2024 preseason on Saturday night against the San Francisco 49ers, and it was also the debut of second-round pick and nose tackle, T'Vondre Sweat.

It was a quiet night overall for the rookie, who entered the exhibition contest with a big head of steam following an impressive showing during training camp. Sweat didn't tally a tackle, sack or pressure.

But we did see some good things, including the Niners giving him the rest of double teams, something that will be much harder to do once Jeffery Simmons is playing (Simmons did not play in preseason Week 1).

Here's a look at every rep of Sweat's preseason debut on Saturday, courtesy of Tyler Rowland, a.k.a. TicTacTitans, who has a fantastic YouTube channel that is both entertaining and informational. Make sure to check it out.

"Got good push when he fired off and stayed low," Rowland wrote of Sweat's reps in the video. "Those are two things I noticed could improve from the college tape. He’s probably fired up off adrenaline though and nervous, lost his technique a bit."

In his day-after press conference on Sunday, head coach Brian Callahan confirmed that his young defensive lineman was indeed nervous to start the game, which is certainly understandable.

When you consider the circumstances (debut, nerves, no Big Jeff), Sweat's showing was still encouraging. He'll continue to make strides in the weeks ahead and things will only get better once he gets to line up next to his running mate in Simmons in the regular season.
