The Bills may already regret trading Xavier Worthy to the Chiefs.

The two AFC rivals pulled off a trade during the 2024 NFL Draft that put Worthy, the owner of the fastest 40-yard dash time in NFL history, in Kansas City. In just his second preseason game, the rookie wide receiver has already tallied a number of highlight-reel plays.

Patrick Mahomes will have the speedy weapon at his disposal, adding to the handful of solid targets the three-time Super Bowl champion already has. Worthy has Tyreek Hill comparisons written all over him, especially considering the Dolphins' speedy wideout began his career alongside Mahomes in Kansas City.

Here's a look at Worthy's stats and highlights from the Chiefs vs. Lions preseason game.

Worthy connected with Mahomes early in the first quarter for 39-yard grab as part of his 62-yard day. The rookie wideout finished with three receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown. He also added 11 rushing yards on one attempt.

Worthy's day was short, which is expected in preseason. He's shown his ability to be one of the Chiefs top wide receivers already.

Xavier Worthy highlights from Chiefs vs. Lions

Worthy showed off his speed in Kansas City's second preseason game. He started the Chiefs first drive with a 39-yard reception from Mahomes, teasing fans of what's to come this season.

The Chiefs settled for a field goal on that drive, but Worthy found the end zone before the end of the quarter. Carson Wentz entered the game for Mahomes and dotted Worthy for a 22-yard score.

Kansas City went up 13-0 with about two minutes left in the first quarter.

Worthy's speed will be invaluable for the Chiefs as they aim for a Super Bowl three-peat.

Xavier Worthy's fantasy outlook 2024

Worthy has an ADP of 96.4 and is the 38th-ranked wide receiver, according to FantasyPros. He slots one spot ahead of Marquise Brown and three spots behind Rashee Rice in FantasyPros' full-point wide receiver rankings.

Sporting News' Ed Williams has Rice, Brown, and Worthy ranked 34, 39, and 44, respectively, in full-point PPR leagues.

The three wideouts are competing for the top spot in the depth chart, though Travis Kelce will still receive the majority target share. Worthy is a risky pick for his ADP, as he can be the Chiefs third wide receiver and fourth receiving target. He also profiles as an inconsistent receiver, giving you 20 PPR points one week and four the next.

Rice has an ADP of 82, but Brown is also at 96.4, according to FantasyPros. Worthy's ceiling is high if he can become the Chiefs' top wideout, — Brown's current shoulder injury figures to benefit the rookie — but their might be some growing pains once the regular season stars.
