Can the owner of a “lucky” gold Rolex come to the lost and found, please?

The 7-seed Kentucky Wildcats sent shockwaves into the women’s college basketball world Sunday when they took down the top-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks 64-62 in the SEC Championship Game. But, while the Gamecocks suffered a big loss at the hands of Kentucky, the Wildcats almost suffered a major loss off the hand of… John Calipari?

Well, more appropriately, the wrist of John Calipari.

The men’s head basketball head coach was in attendance to see the upset win Sunday, a day after his team finished the regular season with a win over Florida.

It wasn’t looking so good for Kentucky through three quarters, either, but the Wildcats overcame a 15-point deficit to take down the Gamecocks on a last-second three from Dre'Una Edwards.

And Coach Cal was HYPED!

You may notice, though, after watching Calipari’s reaction a second time, that his watch flies off his wrist. But not just any watch. His “lucky” gold Rolex. The Kentucky men’s basketball coach realizes is flung off, turns to his wife Ellen and says, "My watch,” but remains locked in during the Gamecocks’ final heave. After the game, Coach Cal made a plea to anyone who may have found it.

And while missing for several hours, just enough time for a parody Twitter account called John Calipari’s Lucky Watch (@Cals_Rolex) to go live, the missing watch has been returned to its rightful owner.

It’s not exactly clear how the watch made its way to women’s head coach Kyra Elzy, but the Calipari’s were sitting behind the bench where the team’s family and friends usually sit.

The 7-seed Wildcats became the second-lowest seeded team to ever win the tournament and brought home the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament title for the first time since 1982.

Coach Elzy is a hero two times over Sunday. Mystery solved.
