Michael Chandler has called out Conor McGregor in an impassioned speech, following a stunning knockout win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 274.
The 36-year-old scored the victory with a second-round front kick that floored Ferguson, in a moment that was equal-parts scary for Ferguson and beautiful for Chandler.
The win was Chandler's first since January 2021, snapping a two-fight losing streak in the process after falling to Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje.

After falling to both men who would compete in the UFC 274 main event, Chandler has done enough with his win over Ferguson to earn another shot.
Oliveira would defeat Gaethje in the final fight of the night, but after missing weight he doesn't walk out with the gold and the title remains vacant.
Chandler said if he can't get the title fight at 155lbs against Oliveira or somebody else, he wants a fight with the legendary McGregor instead.
“I’m ready to come back – there is not one MMA fan on the planet that doesn’t want to see me rematch you, Charles or rematch you, Justin Gaethje," he said.
"If Hunter Campbell and Dana White have a momentary lapse of judgement and they give the title shot to someone else, I got one dude on my mind.
"Conor McGregor – you’ve gotta come back and fight somebody. I am the most entertaining lightweight on the planet.
"I want you at your biggest, I want you at your baddest, I want you at your best. You and me at 170."

McGregor responded to the call-out from Chandler and said he hopes to fight the American before its all said and done in his illustrious career.
I’d have a nice knock off this guy, no doubt about it. A firework spectacle. I like the 170 shout also. Tipped him over. I’m definitely game to fight this guy at some stage in my career. I see it happening after tonight. Congrats on a solid win Michael and another barnstormer.

McGregor hasn't fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier in July last year.
