Figuring out which RBs to place bets on for Super Bowl LVIII can be as hard as figuring out Roman numerals and how to get them right, but reading our rundown of which Super Bowl props to target for ball carriers will prepare you and make this as easy as saying “Super Bowl 58.”
San Francisco is favored by points over Kansas City, and the O/U rests at for our Super Bowl 54 rematch.
49ers future HOF RB Christian McCaffrey found paydirt 21 times total in the regular season, and his legendary 2023 campaign hasn’t slowed down at all during the playoffs, where he’s averaging 94 rushing yards per game this postseason.
Kansas City’s lead back Isiah Pacheco joins the rest of Planet Earth in not keeping pace with McCaffrey, but his 85 rushing YPG and touchdowns in each of the first three rounds of this year’s playoffs has helped propel the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in the six seasons Patrick Mahomes has been quarterback.
Let’s figure out which Super Bowl LVIII RG prop bets to target before Sunday rolls around.

RB scorer props & odds: Who should bettors target beyond McCaffrey and Pacheco?
Kansas City’s defense this year is as good as it’s been since the Andy Reid Era began in 2013, surrendering just 15.6 PPG. They’ll have their hands full vs. a 49ers squad that averaged 28.9 PPG in the regular season and shows no signs of slowing down.
While we will certainly include McCaffrey and Pacheco in our Super Bowl RB props game plan, it’s important to focus on the other guys who will end up with the rock in their hands throughout the game.
As is the case in most Super Bowls (sorry cold weather teams who are disadvantaged by the NFL’s insistence on domes and controlled climates), this week’s game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas won’t have weird weather or wind involved. Not having to account for such factors does make estimating rushing production an easier process.
Let’s start with some props involving the bell cow backs and work out some other likelihoods involving other RBs.

49ers vs. Chiefs rushing props odds for Super Bowl 58: CMC, Pacheco and others to target
Christian McCaffrey UNDER carries
CMC bets fall into the “suffering from success” category in the mind of this keen prognosticator. There’s no doubt that Kyle Shanahan will stick with the strategy that got SF to the title game and that CMC will have the ball in his hands via the passing and rushing attacks. However, the under on carries is the way to go this week. Consider parlaying the under on carries and the under on rushing yards. We wouldn’t suggest betting that CMC won’t find the end zone, but his projected yards and attempts feel high going into this game.
Isaiah Pacheco longest rush OVER
If there was a way to bet the over on the amount of times the announcers will refer to the Chiefs lead RB “running angry” and “running with a chip on his shoulder” that would be the easiest prop Super Bowl LVIII offered, but alas we are confined to wagering on his on-field stats solely. Pacheco might seem bottled up for a bit, but he’s likely to break a few long runs in the second half if he doesn’t in the first.
Brock Purdy OVER rushing yards
You don’t have to wade into the pool of honing an opinion on how good Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy is in order to place a promising prop bet on the 49ers QB to hit the over on rushing yards this week. With Chris Jones et al. bringing the heat in a variety of looks that Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo cooks up, look for Purdy to scramble a few times and hit this mark.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire UNDER rushing yards
Edwards-Helaire is by no means a regularly featured component of the Chiefs offense, but he is going to get some burn spelling Pacheco. However, that doesn’t mean the former first-round pick is going to hit this mark during the limited opportunities he’s given.
Deebo Samuel OVER rushing yards
Deebo is dangerous whether lined up and functioning as a wideout or running back, so look for him to hit the OVER on rushing yards this week as Kyle Shanahan and Co. are likely to deploy the explosive Samuel in receiving, rushing and maybe even passing capacities this week to counter the pressure KC will bring.
