Florida basketball player Micah Handlogten suffered a gruesome leg injury early in the team's SEC championship game matchup against Auburn.

Handlogten went up for a rebound just over two minutes after the Gators vs. Tigers contest began. The 7-1 center got his hands on the ball at the peak of his jump and knocked it toward himself as he landed.

Handlogten's left ankle buckled under him as he tried to secure the ball. He crumpled to the ground in obvious pain as play continued around him.

Florida's medical staff and other personnel on hand for the SEC championship game immediately tended to Handlogten on the court. Handlogten's mother came out of the stands to join him on the court.
