The Chicago Bears still have work to do.

Chicago has had one of the best offseasons of any National Football League franchise. The Bears significantly improved the offense by selecting young phenom Caleb Williams, acquiring superstar receiver Keenan Allen, and signing running back D'Andre Swift.

The Bears should take a major step forward in 2024 but could still use a little more help on the defensive side of the ball. One player who could make a lot of sense is defensive end Yannick Ngakoue.

He spent the 2023 season with the Bears but is a free agent and still is looking for his next opportunity. Ngakoue racked up four sacks and 22 total tackles in 13 games last season and he should be in consideration for a reunion.

Chicago may have struggled in 2024, but Bears fans should have plenty of hope for the 2024 campaign. Training camp will be here before we know it and there are some intriguing players still out there, including Ngakoue.

With each passing day, he remains available, his price tag likely will drop. If the Bears want to add some more firepower this offseason, a reunion with Ngakoue should be a top option for Chicago.

While the Bears may not necessarily be considered a Super Bowl contender at this point, they should take a major step forward in 2024 and good things could be coming for the team.
