The Big Ten is not only changing things up with football this season as Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington enter the conference, but will also have significant changes to the other revenue sport, basketball. One of those changes apparently, is the location of future Big Ten basketball tournaments.

Now that the conference's footprint goes basically from sea to shining sea, the Big Ten has many more cities and arenas in its sights if it wants to move things around. And with four teams now on the West Coast, having championship venues in or nearer to that part of the country makes sense.

On that note, the Big Ten announced and confirmed the future sites of the men's and women's basketball tournaments and there are indeed one fantastic location out West that we haven't seen before. Both the men and women will visit Las Vegas once of the years, while places like Indianapolis and Chicago will still be in the rotation. Detroit also enters the fray for the women.

Here's how things shake out for the tournaments in upcoming years:

Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament Future Locations

March 5-9, 2025: Gainbridge Fieldhouse | Indianapolis, Indiana

March 4-8, 2026: Gainbridge Fieldhouse | Indianapolis, Indiana

March 3-7, 2027: T-Mobile Arena | Las Vegas, Nevada

March 1-5, 2028: Little Caesars Arena | Detroit, Michigan

Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Future Locations

It's nice to see the Big Ten head to Las Vegas and we know many others will be excited about the venue right on the Strip. Start thinking about your travel plans now.
