With 2024 Olympic track & field events in full swing in Paris, Team USA has a serious threat to win gold in the men's 100m sprint on Sunday.

American Noah Lyles is the second betting favorite to win gold at top sportsbook sites. Jamaica's Kishane Thompson is narrowly priced as the top choice over Lyles on most odds boards.

Sunday's event shapes up as a two-man showdown between Lyles and Thompson. Let's examine men's 100m sprint odds and offer a prediction for Sunday's event at Stade de France.

Olympic men's 100m odds at DraftKings and Bet365: Nice price offered on Lyles

There's been a shift in the odds and a flip of the favorite at DraftKings, where Thompson has been bet to the top of the board. The Jamaican was priced at +125 odds on Friday and adjusted to -145 as of Saturday morning. Lyles' odds lengthened from -120 to +130.

Lyles bettors can find a better price at Bet365, where the American is +220 to win gold.

Here are odds on top contenders in the men's 100m race at Bet365.

  • Kishane Thompson (JAM) -150
  • Noah Lyles (USA) +220
  • Oblique Seville (CIV) +1000
  • Fred Kerley (USA) +2000
  • Lestsile Tebogo (BOT) +2200
  • Kenneth Bednarek +2500
  • Lamont Marcell Jacobs (ITA) +3300

The United States and Jamaica produced five straight gold medals prior to the 2020 Tokyo Games, where Italian Lamont Marcell Jacobs pulled off a huge upset.

Lyles is coming off his personal-best time of 9.81 last month. He shined at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest by sweeping the 100m and 200m sprint. He was also a member of the gold-medal 4x100 relay team. Lyles won the 100m sprint with a time of 9.83.

Thompson did not compete at the World Championships, but he ripped off a 9.77 to win the Jamaican Olympic trials last month.

Jamaican teammate Oblique Seville, 23, also has a great shot for a podium finish. He's moving forward after two straight fourth-place finishes in the World Championships. His personal best of 9.82, which was just set in June, is just a tick slower than Lyles.

Jacobs is back to try and defend his gold medal at long odds. His best time of 9.92 seconds lags in comparison to the betting favorites, but the Italian surprised everybody in Tokyo. Is another upset in store?

Men's 100m sprint prediction: Lyles worth a bet at these odds

Jamaica's storied tradition in sprints culminated with Usain Bolt, who won eight gold medals as the fastest man in history. He remains the world record holder in the 100 sprint with a time of 9.58 back in 2009.

This race sets up as a duel between Thompson and Lyles. It's difficult to peg a winner, and that's reflected in tight odds offered at sportsbooks. We'll take a shot on Lyles at +220 at Bet365.

We're also betting on Bet365's two-leg boosted parlay (+390) on Lyles and USA's Sha'Carri Richardson both to win gold in their respective sprints. Good luck!
