With doubts over Richarlison's long-term future and 20-year-old Alejo Veliz set to join Fiorentina on loan, it's no secret that Ange Postecoglou wants a new striker at his disposal in north London before the summer transfer window slams shuts.

The Australian head coach seems to be ready to abandon his strategy of utilizing Son Heung-min as a centre forward despite the South Korean ace's incredible return of 17 goals and 10 assists last season.

Postecoglou admitted the same in a recent interview: "So I think for us what’s more important is the type of striker we get. You know we play a certain way. We demand certain things from a physical perspective from the technical aspects of it that it’s going be a striker that fits that mould.

"It’s still the area of the park we’re really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that’s a focus for us."

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke has emerged as a potential transfer target, with the one-capped England forward netting 19 goals for the Cherries during the 2023-24 season.

To secure Solanke's services, a fee exceeding £50 million would be necessary to test Bournemouth's resolve. Spurs have the financial resources to pursue this deal and are contemplating an attempt to bring the former Liverpool striker to north London.

Solanke has further stirred speculation about his future by posting a cryptic quote on his intriguing Instagram story, which read: "No dream is too big, no goal too ambitious. Dare to dream, and dare to make it a reality."

And it hasn't taken Spurs fans much time to interpret the phrase "Dare to dream" as a potential indication of his desire to join the club, especially given Tottenham's motto is "To Dare Is To Do."

Many have viewed the quote as a signal that Solanke is eager to compete at the highest level and contend for trophies, which is precisely what Tottenham aims to do under Ange Postecoglou's tutelage in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
