Football is back, and between now and the start of the regular season is a great window to turn your NFL division winner predictions into parlays that have the potential to pay out at more favorable odds than what you’ll see once Week 1 arrives.

For example, at the time of this writing, a $100 parlay with the following division winners pays out over $42,000, based on the odds we're seeing at the top online sportsbooks: Jets, Bengals, Texans, Chiefs, Cowboys, Packers, Falcons, 49ers.

That’s a spicy moonshot of a bet, for sure, and if it's too risky for your tastes, don’t worry. It’s just an example of how division winner parlays payout.

We’ll cook up a seven-teamer of potential division winners. We realize hitting such a bet is a long shot, and we encourage you to shop around multiple sportsbook apps and place wagers with higher probabilities of success.

Odds and prediction to win AFC East

The AFC East is a three-team race, according to odds offered at top NFL betting sites.

The Patriots are +2500 for a reason. They’re not going to emerge atop the division with a rookie QB and scant talent on both sides of the ball. The Dolphins are explosive offensively, but tend to fizzle out when the weather turns cold. If Jaylen Waddle stays healthy, they will do better than last year, but that’s a huge if.

The Bills are narrowly favored to win the AFC East, but it remains to be seen how Josh Allen performs without Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Teams usually don’t do better when eschewing their top two wideouts during the same offseason.

If Aaron Rodgers remains upright, the Jets will win this division. Their defense is amongst the best in the league, and their offense doesn’t need to score 28 per game to win.

Odds and prediction to win AFC North

Oddsmakers and this author both view the AFC North as a two-horse race.

The Steelers aren’t going to emerge on top with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields under center. The Browns defense is stout enough to punch a wild-card ticket, but Deshaun Watson is injury-prone, and Jameis Winston is a roll-of-the-dice, to say the least, if he ends up starting in 2024. Nick Chubb is also a huge unknown, coming back from his injury last year.

That leaves us with the Ravens and Bengals. These teams will finish closely atop the division. Derrick Henry could have a huge year in Baltimore, but the Bengals will benefit massively from the fourth-place schedule they’ll play, largely due to their injury-riddled 2023. Look for career years from Joe Burrow and his elite WR duo of Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, both poised for mega-deals in the near future.

Odds and prediction to win AFC South

Houston is a solid favorite to win this group:

Maya Angelou famously wrote that when someone shows you who they are, believe them. In this case, that applies to Texans QB C.J. Stroud and his most impressive 2023 campaign. The Texans are the class of this division by a considerable margin. Look for Joe Mixon to bolster their run game.

Don’t expect the Colts or Titans to make the postseason. Jacksonville is no slouch, but has earned a reputation for not living up to expectations. Look for that trend to continue for Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.

Odds and prediction to win AFC West + NFC West

The SF 49ers and KC Chiefs are the two biggest favorites to win their respective divisions. We’ll pencil these two into our parlay and keep it moving!

Odds and prediction to win NFC North

Scratch the Bears and Vikings from consideration for your NFL division winner parlay. Neither team’s rookie QB is going to propel them to the postseason. That leaves us with just the Lions and Packers to consider.

Detroit is the favorite, and it’s not hard to imagine them repeating as NFC North champions. However, Green Bay’s stable of young WRs and ascending QB Jordan Love are a fun pick with a viable shot of panning out.

Odds and prediction to win NFC East

The astronomical odds on the Commanders and Giants eliminate them from serious consideration here. That leaves us to decide between the Eagles and Cowboys for this leg of our 2024 NFL division winner parlay.

Both Philadelphia's and New York's seasons ended with thuds and duds in the playoffs last year, but there was a level of locker-room discontent in Philadelphia that makes them a dicey team to back in 2024.

Go with the Cowboys here, and thank yourself when the smoke about the dysfunction in Philadelphia’s locker room turns to fire this year.

Odds and payout for NFL division winner parlay

The ingredients for this seven-team division winner parlay featuring the Jets, Bengals, Texans, Chiefs, Cowboys, Packers, and 49ers pays out at over +24000. Making this bet, or something similar to this, offers gamblers a long shot at a great payout.  Keep in mind, of course, that those odds translate to 0.4% chance of occurrence.

Please take a look around the betting market and also consider parlays with fewer legs (as well as just straight bets!). While the payouts aren't as amazing, you'll have a better chance at cashing more tickets.

A $100 two-team Jets/Packers division winner parlay, for example, pays a potential $740.

If there’s one division to shy away from it’s the NFC South, since there isn’t a clear favorite or favorites there.

Roll the dice on a division winner parlay before Week 1 arrives!
