The Paris Olympics' beach volleyball tournament featured memorable and exciting action. Luckily, it is not the only time you can watch the sport.
AVP, America's only national beach volleyball league, hosts the Manhattan Beach Open each year, with the final taking place Sunday.
The Manhattan Beach Open was established in 1960 and is considered one of the biggest events of the U.S. beach volleyball season.
The four USA Olympic beach volleyball pairs returned from Paris to compete, as Miles Partain and Andy Benesh were seeded third while Chase Budinger and Miles Evans were fifth. On the women's side, Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss held the top seed while Kelly Cheng and Sarah Hughes grabbed the second seed.
Last year's Manhattan Beach winners, Betsi Flint, Julia Scoles, Taylor Crabb and Taylor Sander, were also honored during the qualifiers with their own plaques on the Manhattan Beach Pier.
While the Olympics may be over, there are more trophies to be handed out in beach volleyball. Which pairs will be victorious at the AVP Manhattan Beach Open?
