The college volleyball season is here, and what better way to kick it off than a top-10 matchup between Wisconsin and Louisville?
The No. 3-ranked Badgers will go on the road and open up their regular season against the No. 6 Cardinals. The last time the two teams met was in the 2021 national semifinals, where Wisconsin came away with a victory before beating Nebraska for the title.
The Badgers finished 30-4 last season, advancing to their sixth Final Four before losing to eventual national champion Texas. Senior Sarah Franklin returns after being named the AVCA National Player of the Year.
The Cardinals are coming off a 27-5 season in which they advanced to the Elite Eight before falling to Pitt. Returning to the squad is outside hitter Anna DeBeer, last season's ACC Player of the Year, and libero Elena Scott, ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
