ESPN's Shannon Sharpe made a lofty prediction about the 2024 Cleveland Browns; however, it comes with a noteworthy disclaimer.

Sharpe believes that the Cleveland Browns can make it to the AFC Championship.  The roster, in his opinion, is so talented and complete. He added the footnote that he only believes Deshaun Watson needs to be "85-90% of what he once was" to accomplish this feat.

He also said if Watson comes out in 2024 in his Houston Texans 2020 form, "it's over."

Whether that means he thinks the Browns are a slam dunk to get to the Super Bowl is unclear.

Sharpe thinks the Browns will face the Chiefs.  He admits it is hard to pick against Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes when he has exceeded expectations over and over, even last year when the team did not have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Browns open the season on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at their newly renamed stadium, Huntington Bank Field, against the Dallas Cowboys.
