It's only September, so potential whiteouts in Green Bay and Buffalo are still probably a few months away. Even though snow won't be falling, it's not too early for the weather to impact NFL games. Wind, rain, and even high temperatures can play a role in player performance early in the year.

Before we get into the Week 1 forecasts, here's a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how the weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don't hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders' meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. To take your game to the next level, subscribe to RotoGrinders' exclusive WeatherEdge tool and see how different weather conditions have impacted historical scoring.

Note: If a game isn't mentioned below, it's because it doesn't even have 10-mph winds, a 20-percent chance of precipitation, or extreme temperatures in the forecast.

NFL weather forecast and updates Week 9

Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs: There is a 22-percent chance of rain in the Kansas City area at the time of kickoff on Thursday night. If there is ultimately rain, it should not impact the game to a meaningful degree. The potential precipitation should not impact your start/sit decisions.

Washington Commanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: There are expected to be storms in the Tampa Bay area at the time of kickoff on Sunday. It is too difficult to tell as of now whether the storm will fall over the stadium, so check back closer to game time for a more accurate forecast.

WEEK 1 NFL: Power rankings | ATS picks | SU picks

Arizona Cardinals at Buffalo Bills: Both rain (20-percent chance) and wind (12 MPH) have a chance to impact this game to some degree. Much like the game in Kansas City, the weather impact will be minimal at most and should not impact lineup decisions.

Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns: As is often the case in Cleveland, wind will be prevalent at the newly minted Huntington Bank Field. Roth notes that gusts may reach 20 MPH, which may impact some longer kicks and throws. However, the wind is unlikely to have a significant impact on the overall game environment.

2024 NFL RANKINGS: QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | Defense

New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers: Aaron Rodgers' return to NFL action may be marked by light wind gusts. Winds of 10 MPH are expected throughout the game but should have minimal effects on player performance.
