Canada heads to France as they look to defend their Olympic gold medal this summer.
Bev Priestman has called in an 18-player squad that features 13 players who featured at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, including captain Jessie Fleming, defender Kadeisha Buchanan, wing-back Ashley Lawrence, midfielder Quinn, and forward Adriana Leon.
Canada will be without Christine Sinclair for the first time since the 2004 Olympics, and the team also has to replace Sophie Schmidt and Desiree Scott. However, the Canucks made the semifinals of the CONCACAF W Gold Cup earlier this year and the final of the SheBelieves Cup, showing that they are trending upward ahead of the Olympics.
