There will be at least one team in the 2022/23 Champions League final as AC Milan and Inter face off in the second semi-final.
Stefano Pioli and Simeone Inzaghi lead their respective sides under the San Siro lights as they try to make history in Europe's top competition.
Italian sides haven't had the best of luck in continental tournaments over the past decade or so, but Roma's win in the Europa Conference League last season seems to have changed things. There are five Serie A teams still in a European competition in 2022/23, three more than any other country.
That gives hope to Calcio fans that this year will bring an end to the long wait for an Italian team to win the biggest prize European club football has to offer.

When was the last time an Italian team won the Champions League?
Inter are the Italian side with the most recent Champions League title. They won the trophy in 2010 under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
Diego Milito scored twice in the final against Bayern Munich as the Nerazzurri won 2-0 in Madrid. It was a momentous occasion for more than one reason because the European title meant Inter won the treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League trophies in the 2009/10 season, becoming the first Serie A side in history to achieve that feat.
Inter had a poor start to their Champions League campaign, failing to win any of their first three matches and only snatching a late win in their fourth away to Dynamo Kyiv. They managed to finish second in the group, behind Barcelona, and make the knockout rounds. Mourinho's side then beat Chelsea, CSKA Moscow, and Barca over two legs to reach the final.
Which Italian clubs have won the Champions League?
Only three Italian teams have won the European Cup/Champions League throughout their history, with Milan leading the way with seven titles. They have won more than Inter (three) and Juventus (two) combined.
Juve have had poor luck in the Champions League over the years, losing seven times in the final. No side has finished as runners-up in the competition on more occasions.
The Bianconeri were the last Italian side to reach the final, losing in 2017 to Real Madrid, having lost two years earlier to Barcelona.
Fiorentina, Roma and Sampdoria have all reached the final of this competition once, but each side suffered defeat.
