This is a third-place consolation match that fans of Mexico and Panama will actually want to watch on Sunday.

After the 3-0 battering they took from the USA, the Mexican national team will have an entire footballing nation looking for a response from El Tri and a show of spirit and fight that bodes well for the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup kicking off next weekend.

It could represent a turning point for Mexico national team manager Diego Cocca, who is already under fire just four months into his tenure.

In the lead-up to the third-place match, he had to field questions about players wanting to abandon the team and others in the squad expressing discontent for the hotel arrangements and lengthy practice sessions.

Meanwhile, Cocca's counterpart with Panama, Thomas Christiansen, admitted having to answer to his own team for some headline-grabbing postgame comments he made after their 2-0 semifinal loss to Canada, about the quality gap between forwards of the two countries.

The Sporting News outlines the ways you can stream this compelling CONCACAF Nations League third-place match and watch it online without cable.

What time does Mexico vs Panama kick off?

The CONCACAF Nations League third-place match is the first match of a doubleheader at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mexico vs. Panama will precede the championship match between the USA and Canada. The Americans are looking to defend the Nations League title won in 2021.

Kickoff for the third-place match is set for 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT), with the final following at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT). There are three hours between contests.

  • Nations League 3rd place match: 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT)
  • Nations League final: 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT)

The elements will not be a factor on the day with temperatures forecast to reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Las Vegas. That's because both matches will be played indoors.

Allegiant Stadium is a full enclosed facility that still has a natural grass surface that's wheeled in and out by an intricate system that swaps out grass and artificial surfaces.

While some third-place matches around the world skip the 30 minutes of extra time and go straight to penalties, the official competition rules (page 22) state that the CONCACAF Nations League bronze medal match will go to extra time first, and then penalties if the deadlock persists.
