The United States Women's National Team's journey to Olympic gold begins in the New York City suburbs with another warmup match.
The USWNT kicks off their Summer Olympic preparations with an international friendly match against Mexico on Saturday, July 13 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. It will be Emma Hayes' third game in charge of the U.S. and the first since she selected her 18-player squad, with four alternates, for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
The U.S. is looking for its fifth Olympic gold medal, though it hasn't won the gold since the 2012 Olympics in London. Add to that the Round of 16 finish at the 2023 World Cup and it's a USWNT that is on a mission to make a run to the finals.

Mexico meanwhile did not qualify for the Olympics but looks set to take the next step in its growth with another game against the U.S. Mexico beat the U.S. 2-0 earlier this year in the CONCACAF W Gold Cup and they look like they're on the verge of returning to the World Cup.
