The U.S. Men's National Team will wrap up their pre-Copa América preparations on Wednesday with a highly-anticipated showdown against five-time World Cup champions Brazil in the Allstate Continental Clásico.

The two countries will face off for the first time since September 2018 when the Selecao secured a 2-0 friendly victory courtesy of Roberto Firmino and Neymar strikes. In fact, the Americans have been the losing side in their last 11 meetings with the South American foes, which dates back 26 years to 1998.

USA boss Gregg Berhalter will naturally be demanding a response from his players following last weekend's disappointing 5-1 defeat to Colombia last Saturday, while Dorival Junior's Brazil edged out a 3-2 stoppage-time thriller against Mexico.

USA vs. Brazil lineups & team news

Left-back Sergino Dest is a significant injury absentee for the USMNT, but there will still be plenty of star Europe-based names in their starting XI for this contest.

Captain Christian Pulisic will lead the side's attack after an impressive campaign in Serie A with AC Milan, alongside Timothy Weah and Haji Wright.

Weston McKennie (Juventus), Giovanni Reyna (Borussia Dortmund), and Tyler Adams (Bournemouth) could form the midfield. The defense will feature Matt Turner (Nottingham Forest) in between the sticks and established Premier League defenders like Tim Ream (Fulham) and Cameroon Carter-Vickers (Celtic).

USA projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Turner (GK) — Scully, Carter-Vickers, Ream, A. Robinson — McKennie, Adams, Reyna — Weah, Balogun, Pulisic.

Brazil will be without the services of Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson for Wednesday's friendly. He will not be fit to play at the Copa America after he suffered from a fractured eye socket, so Sao Paolo's Rafael has been called up to the squad in his place.

A host of Premier League stars will be competing to be involved in this game, including the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Bruno Guimaraes, and Gabriel Magalhaes, all of whom either came on as substitutes or didn't feature at all in the 3-2 victory over Mexico.

Brazil projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Alisson (GK) — Danilo, Militao, Gabriel, Arana — Pereira, Guimaraes, Paqueta — Rodrygo, Evanilson, Vinicius Jr.
