Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill hoped to compete at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas, but his planned co-main event bout against Carlos Ulberg fell through.

Hill (12-2) was forced to withdraw from the bout with Ulberg (9-1) due to multiple injuries. He hoped to return from his UFC 300 loss to Alex Pereira quickly, but multiple knee injuries set him back.

According to a post on Instagram, Hill suffered two meniscus tears, a sprained ACL, and a Baker Cyst that "leaked fluid in the back of my knee."

Hill vowed to be back soon.

The 33-year-old previously suffered a ruptured Achilles after winning the UFC title and was forced to vacate the belt.

UFC 303 takes place on Saturday, June 29, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is part of the promotion's International Fight Week. The event is headlined by a bout between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight title.
