As the WNBA winds down, the race for the playoffs are getting started. Three spots in the postseason remain, and two of those contenders will go head-to-head as it comes down to the wire.
The Fever host the Dream in the fourth and final matchup of the franchises. It's the final battle between former No. 1 picks Caitlin Clark and Rhyne Howard.
As of lately, though, it's been the team's vets standing out. Chelsea Gray and Tina Charles have led the Dream in scoring since the league returned from the break with Charles scoring 28 in their latest loss to Indiana. Kelsey Mitchell scored 29 for the Fever in that same game and added 36 in their latest win over the Wings.
For Atlanta especially, the squad needs to find productivity everywhere. They're on the cusp of being a top-8 team, a position needed make the playoffs. It hasn't beaten Indiana yet but it needs to for a shot at extending 2024. Meanwhile, the Fever will likely clinch a playoff spot by the end of the regular season for their first playoff game since 2016.
