Vince McMahon hated competition, so he bought them whenever they were weakened enough by the power of the WWE brand and forced them into the age-old “if you can’t beat them, join them” dilemma — just ask Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman. The new age of WWE, under Paul “Triple H” Levesque, however, has a different way of handling their opposition:

They partner with them to rise the tide for all ships in the harbor, just ask TNA.

More specifically, ask Joe Hendry, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the partnership.

“This partnership between TNA wrestling and WWE has been the perfect example of business done right,” Hendry told USA Today, via Fightul. “Business done right is where every single party wins. TNA wins because we're selling out regularly now, our crowds are getting so big. We're gaining so much from the increased exposure.

“WWE, a lot of their NXT talents are getting the opportunity to perform for a different audience. Wrestlers win and the fans win because it's an exciting product."

I guess one could say Hendry … believes … in the union.

This isn’t the only partnership the WWE has embraced, either. It’s doing phenomenal work overseas in sending some of its biggest global superstars and legends to wrestle on tour in Japan, e.g., AJ Styles, in yet another example of the difference(s) between the Vince McMahon era and the one we’re all currently enjoying.

Cheers to this never changing.
