Say his name and he’ll appear, but don’t expect Gunther to care. Joe Hendry is taking the wrestling world by storm due to his wildly successful crossover between TNA and NXT, and he’s parlayed it into a NXT Championship match at “No Mercy” against “All Ego” Ethan Page.

The event is set to take place only one day after Gunther successfully defended his WWE Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at “Bash in Berlin”, but the Austrian sounds as if he could not care less about Hendry’s hype train.

When asked if he believes in Joe Hendry, the answer was, um, direct.

“Uhhh, no I don’t think so,” said Gunther. “No.”

Gunther knows a little something about dominating NXT, something he did before being promoted to the top brands where he continued to wreck shop as the longest-reigning intercontinental champion before going on to win 2024 King of the Ring and then the heavyweight belt.

So if Hendry wants to make Gunther a believer, he’ll have to do more.

A lot more.

The Ring General is not impressed.
