WWE heads to Canada, where the country will host its first Money in the Bank PLE event. Money in the Bank airs on Peacock in the U.S. on July 6.
The Money in the Bank ladder match was created in 2005. Two ladder matches will take place at this event, with multiple participants involved. The winner of each is done so by climbing a ladder and retrieving the briefcase above the ring. That briefcase allows the user about one year to cash it in and challenge for a title of their choosing.
WWE has recently brought events outside the United States, from Puerto Rico, France, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. Canada has produced several events for WWE. Money in the Bank is the latest to head north.
"Toronto is an amazing city with a passion for sports entertainment. We're excited to bring Money in the Bank to Canada for the first time, as we continue to lock down the most globally focused schedule in company history," Triple H recently recently said.
The first winner of the ladder match was Edge. Last year’s winner's were Damian Priest and Iyo Sky. Who will walk out of the Scotiabank Arena and secure their destiny?
