Sitting on top of the world and wearing Logan Paul’s pain like an expensive French cologne, LA Knight walked away from Summerslam 2024 with his first-ever singles title after taking the clean win over Paul for the WWE United States Championship; and how sweet it was to see The Megastar finally get his.

But for as toxic as the feud had become between the two during the buildup to Summerslam, Knight says it wasn’t actually personal — the kavorka oozing from his pores — instead simply a mission to separate Paul from the hardware that Knight felt was rightfully his.

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s arrived.

“What’s it like to beat Logan Paul? A lot of people were looking for that,” said Knight in the post-Summerslam press conference. “For me, I’m just looking for this [belt]. So whether it was Logan Paul or anybody else walking around with it — I want this and now I’ve got it.

"It’s got those Logan Paul nameplates on it and we’re gonna have to get those changed but, at this point, for me, again, I talked about 2023 being the foundation. In 2024, now is the time to start building that legacy. To start building that, let’s call it The Legend of LA Knight.

"Call it that.”

Knight is one of the most over superstars in the entire WWE and easily one of the best mic men around, but it’s also his ability to raise the cache of every match he’s in that helps make him capable of being a marquee name in the business.

And, now, with gold around his waist, the groundwork is set for him to truly begin his ascent to other possible title reigns such as the Intercontinental Championship and maybe, one day, even the Universal one.

That’s a look down the road though, because the here and now is headlined by Knight’s reign as the United States Championship just getting started.

And newwwww….
